Dental Insurance and Payment Options
Financing Your Care
In our office, we offer high quality care and payment options that work for all of our patients. Below you will find a list of insurance and payment options that we accept. If you don’t see your preferred method on our list, please call our office at Wellesley Office Phone Number (781) 235-5404 to find out what other options may be available to you.
Insurance will only cover a certain amount per year, and carriers will dictate what treatment is covered. We do not treatment plan based on what insurance will cover. We believe our patients deserve optimum oral health, and insurance may offset some of the cost of doing this.
Dental Insurance Plans We Are In Network with:
- Delta Dental
- Blue Cross Blue Shield
Out of network insurances:
Many of our patients still see us even though we do not participate with their insurance. Kaitlin will bill the insurance and help you to determine your financial responsibility.
Payment options:
- Cash or Check: Always accepted.
- Credit Card: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express
Please note: Payment is due at the time of service.
As a courtesy to you, we will bill your insurance company and track claims. Please keep us informed of any changes to your insurance plan. You are responsible for the fees charged by our office, no matter what your insurance coverage may be. Most insurance companies should respond to the claim within four to six weeks. Any remaining cost is your responsibility.
Changes in Out-Of-Network Billing
We strive to provide the best dental care possible to our patients. In order to achieve this, timely collection of our fee is expected. We have been, and continue to be in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Delta Dental. All other dental plans (Cigna, Metlife, Aetna, Guardian, Standard, etc.) are considered out-of-network. Typically, dental offices require fee payment in full at time of service. We understand that this can present a great front-end financial burden and can delay access to care. Nonetheless, as it often takes us months to see payment from out-of-network dental benefit plans (“insurances”), we are forced to require a $500 deposit to make an appointment for out-of-network services beyond routine care. When the insurance has squared up, we will write a check to you or bill for the balance. We really appreciate your understanding as this policy comes into effect on July 1st of 2021.
Changes in Cancellation Policy
Beginning July 1st, we will be requiring at least 24 hours notice for any appointment cancellation. Failure to meet this requirement will result in a $50 charge for a broken hygiene (“cleaning”) appointment, and a $100 charge for a broken appointment with Dr. Mattison. Each time we reserve time for you in our schedule, we are investing in your dental health (sterilization, materials, infection control waste). We encourage all patients to make use of our automated reminder system, and call well in advance of anticipated conflict.
